Jelena

The subject's special power, Mania Rain, utilizes resonance from the Mania Crystals in her hand chain to manipulate a special metal. Her power is relatively weak and has only one effect. Her power seems underdeveloped at the moment, but not excluding the potential for greater capabilities.

After chapter 15:
The subject's special power, Mania Rain, utilizes the Mania Crystals in her hand chain to manipulate mist, creating a rain-like phenomenon. Those affected by it will receive an enhancement of their special powers, but in return, both their bodies and minds will fall under the subject's control.

The subject claims that her power awakened during a Mania attack in Eastside. Since then, her M-value has consistently remained at low levels, and she demonstrates no other abnormalities than her ability to manipulate the special metal.

After chapter 15:
During the encounter with an Apostle of Ashes in her Outland hometown as a child, the subject became infected with Mania and awakened as a Sinner. Later, under ■■■■'s guidance, she further enhanced her power with Ash Crystals and evolved into an S-Class Sinner.

The subject has no visible signs of corruption present on her body and her mental state appears stable. However, her emotional responses have been found unusually subdued compared to the average person.

The subject is the personal butler and caretaker of Elvira Stewart, daughter of former Eastside councilor Stewart. Following Stewart's death, the subject moved into the Minos Bureau of Crisis Control with Elvira for protection, along with bodyguard S9.

After Chapter 15:
Born in a remote town in the Outlands, the subject was rescued by ■■■■ following a disaster in her hometown and taken to Fraser City. She subsequently joined their side and was dispatched to Eastside as an undercover operative to gather intelligence. She successfully infiltrated the Stewart household, securing a position as Elvira Stewart's personal butler.

During the Eastside election, while escorting Elvira Stewart to seek protection at the Minos Bureau of Crisis Control, Jelena was identified as an awakened Sinner. The Bureau has since detained Jelena while allowing her to attend to Elvira's daily needs.

Despite the change in her living environment, the subject is able to keep her young lady's and her own daily lives highly organized. Her luggage is stuffed with Elvira's belongings, including but not limited to candlesticks, silver spoons, incense burners, and her preferred pillow.

The subject likes reading news from foreign sources, believing this can provide a more comprehensive understanding of current events. However, due to her sensitive identity, the Bureau's supervisory department has deemed it necessary to implement certain restrictions on her.

The subject has become quite popular within the Bureau, as everyone can receive care as gentle as that of a mother's around her. During lunch breaks, her storytelling sessions have attracted not only children, but also adult listeners.

The subject is also particularly attentive to Chief's daily needs, believing Chief requires the same level of personal care as Elvira does. Chief doesn't really need that kind of special assistance, so the subject's offer will usually be declined.

[Jelena is organizing the books on the shelf.]

Jelena: Your collection here is quite extensive, Chief. I've finished several volumes recently—they're quite captivating. If you're looking for some leisure reading, I'd be happy to make some recommendations.

• Prompt: I'm afraid I don't have the time for reading lately.
• Jelena: That's quite alright. I can prepare a reading list for you, and you can explore them at your leisure when time permits.
• Jelena: 😏

[A gentle knock breaks the silence of your lit office in the dead of night.]

Jelena: Still awake at this hour, Chief? Is there something troubling you? I'm here to listen if you'd like to discuss it.

• Prompt: Just having trouble sleeping.
• Jelena: Sometimes a little assistance can help with insomnia. Would you like me to help you?
• Jelena: 😘😘

• Prompt: I still have work to do.
• Jelena: If you're willing to trust me, I can assist with some of these tasks. That way you can get some much-needed rest.
• Jelena: 😖

⚠⚠ Afternoon Poetry

Since Jelena joined MBCC, the Bureau's library has gained another regular visitor.

System Notifications: Since Jelena joined MBCC, the Bureau's library has gained another regular visitor. Today, you run into her again while returning some materials.

System Notifications: You find her leaning against the windowsill, completely absorbed in a small blue book.

Chief: What is she reading...?

Jelena: ...Good afternoon, Chief. Is there something I can help you with?

System Notifications: Perhaps drawn by your not-so-subtle peering, she looks up from her book with a gentle smile.

Chief: Ah, sorry, am I interrupting your reading?

System Notifications: Slightly embarrassed, you scratch your head as you walk over to her.

Jelena: Not at all. I just finished reading this poem, actually.

Chief: Oh, so it's a poetry collection... Whose works are you reading?

Jelena: Oh? You have an interest in poetry as well, Chief?

System Notifications: Jelena's smile grows warmer as she opens the book to share with you.

System Notifications: To your surprise, it's a poetry collection written in an Outland language, its pages yellowed with age.

• Prompt: Inquire

Chief: Jelena, I didn't know you could read an Outland language.

Jelena: I picked up a bit of it during my previous work. Just enough to get by.

Chief: That's remarkable...

Jelena: "Who hears it fall retrieves a time that fled, when an uncanny windfall could disclose, to him a flower by the name of rose..."

Jelena: ...

System Notifications: You find yourself lost in the gentle melody of Jelena's voice as she reads. Without you even noticing, the entire afternoon slips away in the library's peaceful embrace.

⚠⚠ Simple Joys

Jelena is busy watering the spider plants in the greenhouse.

System Notifications: In the greenhouse, surrounded by luxuriant foliage, you catch sight of Jelena with a watering can, caring for the spider plants she recently potted.

• Prompt: Help out

System Notifications: You pick up another watering can from the nearby shelf.

Chief: Let me help. Should I water those ones over there?

Jelena: Yes, just give those ones a light watering. Thank you for your help, Chief.

Chief: It's nothing.

System Notifications: You notice the serene, gentle smile that graces Jelena's face.

• Prompt: Chat

Chief: I didn't know you were into gardening. What got you started?

Jelena: I ran into Sumire yesterday and complimented her plants. She ended up giving me these spider plants she had just potted.

Jelena: It was such a thoughtful gift. I have to cherish and take good care of them.

Chief: Seems like you've had a lot of free time on your hands recently. I heard you were trying out Ignis and Kelvin's new desserts yesterday?

Jelena: Haha, yes. Everything was delicious. It's wonderful to see how much Ignis and Kelvin have improved their baking talents.

Chief: With your days filled with routine training, occasional missions, quiet moments of reading, gardening, and time spent with the children... do you ever find it a bit monotonous?

Chief: It's quite different from your previous life, after all.

Jelena: Not at all. These peaceful days are precious to me.

Chief: Precious?

Jelena: Yes... The past few years have been overwhelming. Each day felt like an endless weight on my shoulders.

Jelena: And now, to my surprise, I've found my way back to a life of tranquility, where I can cherish these simple joys and peaceful moments... This is the life I've longed for.

Chief: I'm glad to hear that. It puts my mind at ease.

Chief: Being able to cherish each moment as it comes... that truly is a blessing.

⚠⚠⚠ Rain Listening

Heavy rain is falling in the Outdoor Activity Area today.

System Notifications: Heavy rain in the Outdoor Activity Area has left many Sinners disheartened, their outdoor plans washed away for the day.

System Notifications: To your surprise, you find Jelena in the viewing room adjacent to the Outdoor Activity Area. She sits by the window on a sofa, gazing outside, lost in thought. There's no telling how long she has been there.

Jelena: Chief, I never expected to witness such a downpour inside the Bureau. MBCC truly never ceases to amaze me.

Chief: Yeah, the Outdoor Activity Area has a weather system that replicates conditions from the outside world in real time.

Jelena: Indeed, the simulation is remarkably lifelike.

Chief: ...Do you enjoy rainy days?

Jelena: It's not so much the rainy weather I enjoy... but rather the sound of falling rain.

Jelena: When I listen to the rain, somehow, I always feel like being separated from the world, transported back to somewhere distant in my memories.

Chief: Separated?

Jelena: The rainfall drowns out the noise of the world, and that silence allows me to hear my own thoughts more clearly. It's as if each raindrop awakens memories I've kept buried in my heart.

Jelena: The paths I've walked, the people I've lost, the moments that slipped away, and the regrets...

Chief: That sounds... quite melancholic.

Jelena: Not entirely. Sometimes the memories are weighty, but other times they bring comfort. The rain invites contemplation, yet also brings serenity.

Jelena: What do you say, Chief? Would you care to stay here with me for a while and listen to the rain?

System Notifications: Jelena extends her invitation with a warm smile.

• Prompt: I'll have to pass.
• System Notifications: You shake your head with a wry smile.
• Chief: Thank you for the invitation, but I'm afraid I'll have to miss out on this lovely moment.
• Chief: I have too much work that needs to be finished today... I'm sorry, but I'd love to join you another time!
• Jelena: It's alright, please attend to your work.
• System Notifications: Jelena offers an understanding smile.
• Jelena: There will always be a seat beside me for the rain listening, whenever you wish.

• Prompt: I'd love to.
• Chief: Then, allow me to join you in this moment.
• System Notifications: You gladly accept her invitation and settle down beside her, making yourself comfortable as you both listen to the gentle pitter-patter of the rain.
• Chief: ...
• System Notifications: You drift off to sleep without realizing when, and upon opening your eyes, you find yourself alone on the sofa. The rain outside has ceased.
• System Notifications: Someone has draped a blanket over you, and on the nearby table sits a cup of strong tea, with steam still rising in delicate wisps.

⚠⚠⚠ Moonlit Night

After finally finishing your work for the day, you decide to get some fresh air in the Outdoor Activity Area.

System Notifications: After finally finishing your work for the day, you decide to get some fresh air in the Outdoor Activity Area.

System Notifications: It's late into the night, and most of the Bureau staff have retired to their rooms, yet you spot an unexpected figure sitting on a bench in the Outdoor Activity Area.

• Prompt: Greet her

Chief: Hello, Jelena.

Jelena: Greetings, Chief. Working late again? You really should take better care of yourself.

Chief: Look who's talking—you're doing the same thing, aren't you?

Chief: Why are you still outside this late?

Jelena: I couldn't sleep, so I decided to step outside for some fresh air.

System Notifications: You sit beside Jelena on the bench near the lawn, both of you gazing silently at the bright moon hanging in the clear night sky.

• Prompt: The moon is beautiful.

Chief: The moon is so beautiful tonight.

Jelena: Indeed... The moon here is just as beautiful as it was back home.

System Notifications: Jelena pauses briefly, a nostalgic smile playing across her lips before she continues.

Jelena: Back before I left home, life was hard... but that never stopped us from finding joy in simple pleasures.

Jelena: I used to take the children from town on little adventures in the city, sharing with them the stories that the elders had passed down to me.

Jelena: Together, we'd enjoy the cool evening breeze, learning about the stars and gazing at the moon...

System Notifications: As Jelena gently weaves these cherished memories, her words transport you to her homeland.

Jelena: I once read something beautiful in a book: No matter how far apart loved ones may be scattered, they still share the same starry sky, the same moon above.

Jelena: I wonder... if everyone will ever return home, back to the ones we love.

• Prompt: You will.
• System Notifications: You give her a firm, resolute nod.
• Chief: That day will come. I'm certain of it.
• Jelena: Thank you for your kind words, Chief.
• System Notifications: Jelena lets out a soft chuckle, her eyes shining as bright as the moonlight above.

• Prompt: ...
• Chief: I'm sorry, Jelena. I can't give you a definitive answer to that question.
• Chief: But I promise you this: I'll stay by your side and do everything in my power to help you fulfill your wish.
• Jelena: Please don't apologize, Chief. There's no need—this isn't your burden to bear.
• Jelena: But hearing those words from you... it truly means the world to me.

An elegant black dress adorned with pristine white flowers, graceful yet infinitely melancholic.

Nothing breaks the silence here but the endless patter of rain.
